As I age I look at the lines on people’s faces with admiration.
The earned wrinkles and decreasing hair lines are testaments to the experiences in life.
Character is earned.

Would he have considered his dream realized?
I believe that despite some hold outs, we do live in a nation where we are not judged by the color of our skin.
But what happened to the content of our character?
As a whole, are we the type of society where individual character is celebrated? Do we truly understand the gravity and consequence of the words we use?
In so many ways we’ve made progress. We’ve also taken many steps back.
What would he have thought of America today? A dream realized? A dream squandered? A dream in process?
I have no answers…just questions today.
