I surmise that a great tragedy of our times is that we believe our own personal truths to be self-evident and that those of others aren’t equal. That while endowed with so many opportunities to share we sometimes fail to really listen. I’m guilty of it though I strive for better because I realize that “our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children’s future. And we are all mortal.”
