Recently, a good friend of mine (Jim) and I got into a lively political discussion regarding the state of our union, the challenges of health care reform and the successes/failures of our young President.
After some heartfelt back and forth we decided to drop the conversation for the sake of our friendship and respective blood pressure levels.
Today, Jim read a little poem about the exchange. It goes something like this:
“I have a good friend, he is a pretty good guy,
on political views, I’m thinking, we don’t see eye to eye.
Last week we had a political discussion,
I hope there will be no repercussion.
I think everything turned out fine,
I can assure you, we didn’t have a meeting of the minds.
But I’m thinking as we go on our way,
my friend will mature as see things my way.”
Thank you Jim for the chat and the poem. You are my favorite Patriot and we both agree.
We love our country.
