{"id":436,"date":"2009-10-13T20:22:00","date_gmt":"2009-10-13T20:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hugotorres.com\/index.php\/2009\/10\/13\/political-poem\/"},"modified":"2009-10-13T20:22:00","modified_gmt":"2009-10-13T20:22:00","slug":"political-poem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/hugotorres.com\/index.php\/2009\/10\/13\/political-poem\/","title":{"rendered":"Political Poem"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Recently, a good friend of mine (Jim) and I got into a lively political discussion regarding the state of our union, the challenges of health care reform and the successes\/failures of our young President.<o:p><\/o:p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>After some heartfelt back and forth we decided to drop the conversation for the sake of our friendship and respective blood pressure levels.<o:p><\/o:p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Today, Jim read a little poem about the exchange. It goes something like this:<o:p><\/o:p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&#8220;I have a good friend, he is a pretty good guy,<o:p><\/o:p><\/div>\n<div>on political views, I&#8217;m thinking, we don&#8217;t see eye to eye.<o:p><\/o:p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Last week we had a political discussion,<o:p><\/o:p><\/div>\n<div>I hope there will be no repercussion.<o:p><\/o:p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I think everything turned out fine,<o:p><\/o:p><\/div>\n<div>I can assure you, we didn&#8217;t have a meeting of the minds.<o:p><\/o:p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>But I&#8217;m thinking as we go on our way,<o:p><\/o:p><\/div>\n<div>my friend will mature as see things my way.&#8221;<o:p><\/o:p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Thank you Jim for the chat and the poem.
